I believe physical education is very important. Why? According to a MSN News report conducted I listened to this morning March 13, 2008 at about 5 am a lot of children who spend a lot of time on the computer and infront of the TV are overweight.

The researchers state these children usually come from low income families and they do not get enough physical exercise because they are spending too much time on the computer or sitting infront of the TV.

Therefore, based on what I understand regarding the research presented on this broadcast, the schools needs to come up with a good physical educational program to help these students learn to burn up the calories and enjoy doing it.

Times have changed since my children were small! They spent more time outside than indoors, riding bikes, building forts, digging holes. . .
When I was young we had P.E. every single day.
